~** Παρελθόν από το ΠΑΣΟΚ ο Άκης Τσοχατζόπουλος
Η Επιτροπή Καταστατικού και Πιστοποίησης του ΠΑΣΟΚ επικύρωσε την Τετάρτη την εισήγηση της Επιτροπής Διαφάνειας του Κινήματος και ανέστειλε οριστικά την κομματική ιδιότητα του πρώην υπουργού Άκη Τσοχατζόπουλου.
Οριστικά εκτός ΠΑΣΟΚ τέθηκε την Τετάρτη ο πρώην υπουργός Άκης Τσοχατζόπουλος, καθώς η Επιτροπή Καταστατικού του Κινήματος επικύρωσε τη διαγραφή του, την οποία είχε εισηγηθεί η Επιτροπή Διαφάνειας.

Προηγήθηκαν εξηγήσεις του κ.Τσοχατζόπουλου για τα περιουσιακά του στοιχεία, μετά από δημοσιεύματα για τον τρόπο απόκτησης της οικίας του στην Διονυσίου Αρεοπαγίτου.

Η Επιτροπή Διαφάνειας του ΠΑΣΟΚ τονίζει πως η εισήγηση αναστολής της ιδιότητας του μέλους του ΠΑΣΟΚ για τον κ. Τσοχατζόπουλο δεν συναρτάται με τη νομική πλευρά της υπόθεσης και δεν προδικάζει την κατάληξη της δικαστικής διερεύνησης.

Από πλευράς του, ο πρώην υπουργός χαρακτήρισε λανθασμένη την απόφαση της Επιτροπής Διαφάνειας και κρυστάλλινη την πολιτική του πορεία. Προανήγγειλε δε και προσφυγή του στη Δικαιοσύνη εναντίον όσων απεργάζονται, όπως είπε, την πολιτική, ηθική και φυσική του εξόντωση.

~**Ζητούν έλεγχο των «Πόθεν Έσχες»
Στη δημοσιότητα δόθηκαν την Τετάρτη τα ονόματα 20 γνωστών επιχειρηματιών, χρηματιστών, αλλά και υψηλόβαθμων κρατικών υπαλλήλων που είχαν συναλλαγές με τους ύποπτους λογαριασμούς Χριστοφοράκου και τα «μαύρα ταμεία» της Siemens.


Eπιστολή προς τον Πρόεδρο της Βουλής, με κοινοποίηση στους αρχηγούς των κομμάτων και τον πρωθυπουργό, κατέθεσε η Εξεταστική Επιτροπή της Βουλής, που διερευνά την υπόθεση Siemens, ζητώντας παρέμβαση, στο πλαίσιο των διμερών σχέσεων Ελλάδος - Γερμανίας, ώστε να υποχρεωθεί η εταιρία Siemens να παράσχει στοιχεία προς την ελληνική Δικαιοσύνη και την εξεταστική Επιτροπή για την διερευνώμενη υπόθεση.

Με την ίδια επιστολή, ζητείται η άμεση σύσταση ειδικής επιτροπής ελέγχου της περιουσιακής κατάστασης όσων διετέλεσαν υπουργοί, εμπλεκόμενοι με τις συμβάσεις Siemens την τελευταία εικοσαετία.

Εξάλλου, με δεύτερη επιστολή της, η επιτροπή ζητεί από τις δικαστικές αρχές συνδρομή για το άνοιγμα λογαριασμών όλων των εμπλεκομένων προσώπων, φυσικών και νομικών και εταιρειών στο εξωτερικό, με τη συνεργασία και της Europol.

Τρίτη επιστολή της επιτροπής απευθύνεται προς την Επιτροπή Κεφαλαιαγοράς, το υπουργείο Οικονομικών και την Τράπεζα Ελλάδος, για την κίνηση του χρήματος και τον έλεγχο πράξεων περίπου 25 επιχειρηματιών και χρηματιστών, που εμπλέκονται στη διακίνηση χρήματος από τα «μαύρα ταμεία» της Siemens.

Τέλος, σε ενημέρωση των δημοσιογράφων ο πρόεδρος της Επιτροπής Σήφης Βαλυράκης επέκρινε τον εισαγγελέα Παναγιώτη Αθανασίου ότι, ενημερώνοντας τον Μάιο του 2008, τον τότε διευθύνοντα σύμβουλο του ομίλου Siemens Ρούντολφ Φίσερ πως ζητεί αντίγραφα των στοιχείων για τα δώρα προς τους πολιτικούς, ουσιαστικά «έδωσε το σήμα για να καταστραφούν τα επίμαχα στοιχεία».

Έγινε γνωστό ότι μέλη της επιτροπής θα εξετάσουν τους Σίκατσεκ (στη Γερμανία) και Κουτσενρόιτερ (στο Ντουμπάι), πρώην στελέχη της Siemens, ενώ θα καταβληθεί προσπάθεια να καταστεί δυνατή και η εξέταση του Μιχάλη Χριστοφοράκου.

«Να αποκαταστήσουμε το αίσθημα δικαίου»

Μηνύματα με πολλούς αποδέκτες είχε η τοποθέτηση του Γιώργου Παπανδρέου για τις εξεταστικές στη συνεδρίαση του διαθεσμικού οργάνου, την Τρίτη.

«Eχουμε χρέος να αποκαταστήσουμε το αίσθημα δικαίου», επισήμανε ο πρωθυπουργός απορρίπτοντας την ανθρωποφαγία και προκρίνοντας την παραδειγματική λειτουργία του πολιτικού κόσμου.

Εν τω μεταξύ, τα ονόματα πολιτικών που έπαιρναν δώρα από τα μαύρα ταμεία της Siemens προσπαθεί να βρει η εξεταστική επιτροπή της Βουλής, πίσω από το «μπλάνκο», από το διορθωτικό δηλαδή που είχαν βάλει στην εταιρεία. Τη δύσκολη αυτή δουλειά αναλαμβάνει η Υπηρεσία Ειδικών Ελέγχων.

Παράλληλα, κατάθεση για σκέλη της υπόθεσης Siemens έδωσε σε εισαγγελείς πρωτοδικών το στέλεχος της Siemens, πρώην γραμματέας του Μιχάλη Χριστοφοράκου στην εταιρεία, Κατερίνα Τσακάλου.

Η κα Τσακάλου κλήθηκε σε κατάθεση από τον εισαγγελέα πρωτοδικών, Νίκο Ορνεράκη, που ερευνά την υπόθεση των συμβάσεων του ΟΣΕ με τη Siemens για την προμήθεια τροχαίου υλικού και από την εισαγγελέα πρωτοδικών, Αθανασία Βλάχου, η οποία ερευνά την εξαγορά ποσοστού του αρμενικού οργανισμού τηλεπικοινωνιών από τον ΟΤΕ.

Μετά την ολοκλήρωση των δύο καταθέσεων, ο συνήγορος της κας Τσακάλου, Αλέξης Κούγιας, δήλωσε: «Η κ. Τσακάλου με αίσθημα ευθύνης και υπό την ιδιότητά της πλέον του στελέχους στο τμήμα διαφάνειας και εσωτερικού ελέγχου της Siemens και γνωρίζοντας πολύ καλά τι σημαίνει για την Ελλάδα και τους Έλληνες πολίτες, αυτή τη χρονική στιγμή, η διαλεύκανση της υπόθεσης της Siemens, κατέθεσε τόσο στον κ. Ορνεράκη, όσο και στην κ. Βλάχου, για τις δύο υποθέσεις. Και στους δύο εισαγγελείς, κατέθεσε με ποια πρόσωπα, είτε πολιτικά, είτε φυσικά, είχε συναντήσεις ο κ. Χριστοφοράκος, χωρίς ωστόσο να έχει δυνατότητα να καταθέσει ούτε λέξη για το περιεχόμενο των συζητήσεων τους, καθώς δεν ήταν παρούσα».

Κόντρα στη Βουλή για το… «μπλάνκο»
Αντιπαράθεση σε υψηλούς τόνους σημειώθηκε στη Βουλή ανάμεσα στο ΠΑΣΟΚ και τον Λαϊκό Ορθόδοξο Συναγερμό με αφορμή τις τελευταίες εξελίξεις στην υπόθεση της Siemens και την αποχώρηση του ΛΑΟΣ από τις εργασίες της εξεταστικής επιτροπής.

Συγκεκριμένα, ο κοινοβουλευτικός εκπρόσωπος του ΛΑΟΣ Αστέριος Ροντούλης, αιτιολογώντας την αποχώρηση του κόμματος από την επιτροπή, έκανε λόγο για προσπάθεια κουκουλώματος.

«Ο ΛΑΟΣ αποχώρησε, επειδή έπεσε πολύ ‘μπλάνκο’ στις λίστες της Siemens και κάποια ονόματα κουκουλώθηκαν. Εμείς δεν θέλουμε να συμμετάσχουμε σε κανένα κουκούλωμα. Θέλουμε να δούμε τι κρύβεται κάτω από το ‘μπλάνκο’. Προς στιγμήν, όμως, βλέπουμε γενικευμένη ασπρίλα. Για να μπορέσουμε να βάλουμε νυστέρι στο μεγάλο αυτό σκάνδαλο, πρέπει να ζητήσουμε τον κατάλογο με τα συγκεκριμένα στοιχεία από τα αρχεία της Siemens».

Οι επισημάνσεις αυτές προκάλεσαν την αντίδραση του κοινοβουλευτικού εκπροσώπου του ΠΑΣΟΚ Χρήστου Παπουτσή, ο οποίος αντέτεινε ότι «δεν μπορεί να γίνονται αόριστες καταγγελίες που συμβάλουν στον αποπροσανατολισμό και την απαξίωση των θεσμών. ‘Μπλάνκο’ βεβαίως υπήρξε. Αλλά είναι καλύτερα, αντί να καταγγέλλουμε το σύστημα που έβαλε το ‘μπλάνκο’, να καλέσουμε όλους τους υπεύθυνους να μας πουν γιατί υπάρχει. Και να υπάρξει λύση και πλήρης διαλεύκανση. Δεν μπορείς να αποχωρείς, αφήνοντας υπονοούμενα ότι το ‘μπλάνκο’ το έβαλε η εξεταστική επιτροπή και να απαξιώνεις έτσι το έργο της. Όλοι έχουμε υποχρέωση να υποστηρίξουμε το κύρος της Βουλής και των εξεταστικών επιτροπών. Γιατί, αν δεν το κάνουμε με συστηματικό τρόπο, θα συμβάλουμε στην απαξίωση των θεσμών».

Έχει εργασθεί σε Δανικές και Ελληνικές εφημερίδες. Σήμερα εργάζεται στην Ελευθεροτυπία ενώ παράλληλα αρθρογραφεί στην Wall Street Journal (Europe). Είναι συγγραφέας του βιβλίου "Ανίερη Συμμαχία: η Ελλάδα και η Σερβία του Μιλόσεβιτς". Το 2002 τιμήθηκε με το βραβείο δημοσιογραφίας του ιδρύματος Μπότση.Ο Γιώργος Παπανδρέου ήρθε στην εξουσία με προφανείς εντολές. Να αφελληνίσει και να διαμελίσει το Ελληνικό κράτος σύμφωνα με τις επιταγές της παγκοσμιοποίησης. Οι τρεις τομείς μέσω των οποίων θα γίνει αυτός ο διαμελισμός είναι:1. ιθαγένεια στους μετανάστες2. προώθηση της οικονομικής κατάρρευσης της χώρας3. υλοποίηση του Καλλικράτη Και τα τρία αυτά έγιναν με τέτοια προτεραιότητα και τόσο άγρια σπουδή που ακόμα και οι αδαείς καταλαβαίνουν πλέον τους απώτερους σκοπούς που υπηρετούν τα ανδρείκελα. Ο Καλλικράτης θα είναι η ταφόπλακα, που μόλις τεθεί πάνω στο πτώμα της Ελλάδας, οι Παπανδρεϊκοί θα εγκαταλείψουν τη διακυβέρνηση και ίσως και την Ελλάδα και θα πάνε να ζήσουν ήρεμα και πλούσια στο Μαϊάμι ! Πως θα εξελιχθούν τα γεγονότα: Η ΣΥΝΕΧΕΙΑ ΣΤΙΣ ΣΥΖΗΤΗΣΕΙΣ ΤΗΣ ΟΜΑΔΟΣ.-

~** «Θα επιτύχουμε το στόχο του Προγράμματος Σταθερότητας»
Ο στόχος του Συμφώνου Σταθερότητας για το 2010 θα επιτευχθεί, τόνισε από τη Βουλή ο υπουργός Εργασίας, Ανδρέας Λοβέρδος, ο οποίος ανακοίνωσε τη μείωση της φαρμακευτικής δαπάνης στο ΙΚΑ κατά 5% τον μήνα Μάιο.

Μείωση της φαρμακευτικής δαπάνης στο ΙΚΑ κατά 5% τον μήνα Μάιο σε σχέση με τον αντίστοιχο μήνα της περασμένης χρονιάς και 3,5% περισσότερο σε σχέση με τον Απρίλιο του 2010, ανακοίνωσε από τη Βουλή ο υπουργός Εργασίας, Ανδρέας Λοβέρδος, διαβεβαιώνοντας παράλληλα ότι ο στόχος του Συμφώνου Σταθερότητας για το 2010 θα επιτευχθεί.«Επειδή αυτό θα συνεχιστεί για πολλούς πολιτικούς λόγους, και προσθέτοντας την υποκοστόλογηση των φαρμάκων που θα αρχίσει να αποδίδει τον Ιούλιο, τότε το Πρόγραμμα Σταθερότητας σε σχέση με τον περιορισμό της φαρμακευτικής σπατάλης για το 2010 θα επιτευχθεί. Με υπερηφάνεια ανακοινώνω ότι το 1 δισ. 100 εκατ. ευρώ περιστολής της σπατάλης και του οργίου της συναλλαγής στο χώρο του φαρμάκου θα το επιτύχουμε. Δεν είναι εκτίμηση αυτή, είναι συγκεκριμένη πολιτική αναφορά», τόνισε χαρακτηριστικά ο υπουργός Εργασίας.Στο πλαίσιο της συζήτησης επίκαιρης ερώτησης του βουλευτή του ΣΥΡΙΖΑ, Μιχάλη Κριτσωτάκη σχετικά με την επίλυση του προβλήματος ιατροφαρμακευτικής περίθαλψης των ασφαλισμένων στον ΟΑΕΕ του Ρεθύμνου, ο υπουργός Εργασίας ανέφερε επ’ αυτού ότι το 30% και άνω των ασφαλισμένων δεν πληρώνει εισφορές, ο Οργανισμός στερείται χρημάτων από τη σπατάλη και το υπουργείο Εργασίας καταβάλλει προσπάθειες προκειμένου να πληρωθούν οι συντάξεις. «Τον Ιούνιο λύσαμε το πρόβλημα και κάνουμε αγώνα για να είμαστε εντάξει τον Αύγουστο», ανέφερε.

Basil Venitis wants to abolish State insurance. You should be free to save and invest your money as you judge best. There shouldn't be State Insurance to seize big part of your income every year and tell you it's for your own good, or someone else's. There should be therefore no funding problem. Whether you want to retire or keep working should be your decision. How much you save for the future should be up to you. Of course, some people will plan poorly or just won't earn enough to retire on, but the government may not pretend that this is anyone else's fault or responsibility. Those who can't afford to retire must work when they are older, or rely on family or private charity. No one should get the government to coerce others to pay for his retirement. Social Security is the largest government program in the world, accounting for 23 percent of the federal budget. The Social Security tax is the largest tax the average American family pays. Indeed, nearly 80 percent of Americans pay more in Social Security taxes than they do in federal income tax. And, millions of seniors depend on Social Security for their retirement income. State insurance is not sustainable without reform. Simply put, it cannot pay promised future benefits with current levels of taxation. Yet raising taxes or cutting benefits will only make a bad deal worse. At the same time, workers have no ownership of their benefits, and benefits are not inheritable. This is particularly problematic for low-wage workers and minorities. Perhaps most important, the current State insurance systems gives workers no choice or control over their financial future. Social Security will spend more on benefits this year than it takes in in revenue. The program begins to run a permanent cash-flow deficit. Trust fund accounting only obscured the dismal financial truth. It is long past time that politicians faced facts and reformed Social Security, preferably by allowing younger workers to save a portion of their Social Security taxes through personal accounts. We need to wean people off the state pension game. It's a giant Ponzi scheme that sooner or later will become bankrupt. There used to be five working age people supporting each pension; now there are two, and in the future that number will shrink. It cannot go on. Venitis notes that in Greece, the most corrupt on Earth, you could easily retire at forty. All you have to do is give a kickback of 3,000 euros to a certifying State physician, who will lie to the State Insurance Organization(IKA) that you are handicapped! Part of this kickback goes up to the general inspectors and examiners. Nobody cares, nobody gives a damn for all this fraud. There are many villages and towns with all inhabitants declared handicapped! IKA grabs half a Greek's salary, but gives very little in return. Graecokleptocrats churn IKA's funds in order to generate commissions and kickbacks! The Greek government controls the pension funds, the nest eggs of unions, and the Greek Treasury. Venitis muses this is putting the wolf in charge of the chicken! Graecokleptocrats select those money managers and brokers who return part of their fees and commissions as kickbacks to them. This is heightened when large volumes of trades go through consistent law-breakers such as JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs who know how to churn the accounts and generate a lot of commissions and kickbacks.

The purpose of education is to train young people how to use their minds, to use their capacity to think and reason. A proper education provides students with knowledge of the facts, and more importantly, knowledge of how to gain new facts in order to live and pursue values. The European Commission, aka Eldorado of Corruption, today presented its stupid vision for the future of vocational education and training. Vocational education and training is chosen by an average of around 50% of all students in upper secondary education. However, the sector needs to be modernised to make it a more attractive and high-quality option, so that it provides young people with the right skills to find a suitable job and adults with an opportunity to update skills throughout their working life. Public education, by definition, cannot meet the goals of a proper education. Because the state funds public schools, it not only provides the facilities housing the students but it determines the content taught in them. As such, children in such schools learn what the state determines they should learn, with all of the ideological biases that advocates of public schooling endorse. Under state-subsidized schooling, students don't necessarily learn facts, and how to acquire new knowledge; they learn state-sanctioned facts, and state-sanctioned methods of acquiring knowledge. Eldorado of Corruption wants to encourage more people to take up vocational education, to improve the quality of the training on offer and to make it easier to move between jobs and countries. Fourth Reich(EU) ministers are expected to discuss and adopt the plan in the second half of this year.Public schools are controlled by the government and subject to all the ills of government bureaucracy and power. Private and home schools are run, in varying ways, by parents. Private schools are dependent upon the satisfaction of parents in order to remain in business. They do not control the children in their care. Instead, families retain their authority and hire the schools for certain aspects of raising their children.Education Eurocommissar Androulla Vassiliou wants to transform the image of vocational education and training across Fourth Reich and make it more relevant to today's realities. Vocational education and training is a vital link between the worlds of education and work. In the current economic climate, it's more important than ever that we pool our efforts and make it a more attractive option for apprentices, students and anybody else who wants to upgrade their skills. Government schools never sought the permission of parents to educate children. Instead, they used force to secure their audience. As is only natural, the arrogance of the state and its contempt for parents has grown with the years. So also has its power over society.The stupid plan adopted by the Eldorado of Corruption today outline several possible ways to give vocational education and training a new impetus. They include: * Ensuring access to training and qualifications is flexible and open at all stages of life* Promoting mobility to make it easier to gain experience abroad, or in a different sector of the economy* Ensuring the highest possible quality of education and training * Providing more opportunities for disadvantaged groups such as school drop-outs, the low-skilled and unemployed, people with migrant backgrounds and the disabled * Nurturing creative, innovative and entrepreneurial thinking in students.Basil Venitis favors ending government involvement in education. Any influence by the state over education corrupts its goals, and therefore the ability of its graduates to think and reason. Only a full separation of education and state allows for parents to choose how best to equip their children to function in the world. Anything less is a violation of the parents', and child's, rights. National standards and testing cannot overcome the deficiencies of schooling, which are rooted in the public education system's power and incentive structure. National standards would strengthen government power over education while weakening schools' direct accountability to parents and taxpayers.. Centralized standard-setting will likely result in the standardization of mediocrity rather than establishing standards of excellence. While proponents of national standards point to the variation in local standards, the rigor and content of national standards will face pressure to scale down toward the lowest common denominator, undercutting high quality standards. Basil Venitis asserts that a real public school is not defined by who owns it, but by universal access and accountability to the public for results. It matters little whether public schools are run by a school board, a group of parents, a teachers union, a company, or a church. Once public money flows to private schools, they are no longer really private. The government's hooks will be firmly set to brainwash and dumb down the kids, in the name of public accountability. Vouchers open the door to government control of private schools. Private schools are already regulated by every State, but they are not as regulated as public achools. If the voucher plan is ever embraced in a big way, we can expect elaborate criteria for determining which schools may accept vouchers. Public schools dumb down the curriculum, in teaching pseudoesteem over knowledge, in challenging Graecoroman notions of truth and virtue, and in convincing children that their parents are not to be trusted. It is an insidious bargain that encourages young people to stop thinking for themselves in exchange for living in a statist world in which they will never be held accountable and will never be expected to care for themselves. Classrooms are filled with note-passers and texters, who casually ignore teachers struggling to make it to the end of the 50-minute period. Smart kids are bored, and slower kids are left behind. Anxiety about standardized tests is high, and scores are consistently low. National surveys find that parents despair over the quality of education — and they're right to, as test results confirm again and again. Venitis asserts the public school monopoly has to be ended, and genuine competition has to be restored. The National Education Association's #1 priority isn't quality education. It is its members' financial and political power. American Federation of Teachers President Al Shanker, who was one of this century's best labor union presidents, once openly admitted, "I will begin to care about the quality of children's education in this country when they start paying union dues." Now, this may shock you, but it really shouldn't surprise you. Education, like any other service, is best provided by the free market, achieving greater quality and efficiency with more diversity of choice. Public schools should be managed locally to achieve greater accountability and parental involvement. Recognizing that the education of children is inextricably linked to moral values, venitists would return authority to parents to determine the education of their children, without interference from kleptocrats. In particular, parents should have responsibility for all funds expended for their children's education. Government should stay out of education. Venitis declares Eton is the best school on Earth, a paradigm for all schools to follow. Eton, is a British private lyceum for boys. All students board. It was founded in 1440 by King Henry VI. Eton has a very long list of distinguished alumni, including twenty former prime ministers. Traditionally, Eton is the chief nurse of England's statesmen and the most famous school in the world. No other school can claim to have sent forth such a brigade of distinguished figures to make their mark on the world. Etonians include Premier David Cameron of UK and Mayor Boris Johnson of London. Homeschool is a legal option in many places, for parents to provide their children with a learning environment as an alternative to school. Parents cite numerous reasons as motivations to homeschool, including better academic test results, poor school environment, improved character development, and objections to what is taught in school. There is nothing wrong with laying out suggestions for what the average child should know by a certain grade. But most kids aren't the average child, and the Common Core State Standards Initiative is not just suggestions. All kids are different. They grow, mature, and learn at different rates, and develop different talents and interests. In light of that obvious reality, to build an education system that treats all kids as if they are the same is insanity. Simplistic rhetoric of national-standards advocates notwithstanding, research simply does not demonstrate that national standards lead to superior educational outcomes. And, no, adopting the Common Core standards is not voluntary. With states risking billions of federal dollars if they don't adopt them, the standards are for all intents and purposes federal standards, and their adoption mandatory. One of the greatest gifts we can give to succeeding generations is the ability to think for themselves, and that means challenging the government monopoly of thought in education directly. It will be a struggle. All it takes is a trip to the ruins of the Berlin Wall to remind us that governments never give up power voluntarily. It is up to us to reassert our rights and recover our responsibilities.

Basil Venitis asserts that science and State should separate. Science is increasingly being manipulated by those who try to use it to justify political choices based on their ethical preferences and who are willing to suppress evidence of conflict between those preferences and the underlying reality. This problem is clearly seen in two policy domains, health care and climate policy. When we abandon the values and practices of science, or pervert them to support a predetermined agenda, we elevate appearances and subordinate facts. The European Commission, aka Eldorado of Corruption, today welcomed the launch of a €500 million initiative which boosts European supercomputer capacities and opens them up to scientists across Fourth Reich(EU). The Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe(PRACE) unites the Eldorado of Corruption and 20 countries across Europe in a unique initiative which will enable researchers to use super fast computers located in other countries to make up to 1000 trillion calculations per second for their research projects. This could be used for example to speed up the development of more efficient solar cells or help us understand how drugs interact with the human body. Europe's fastest computer, JUGENE in Germany, will be the first machine available to European scientists under the PRACE initiative. By 2015 more supercomputers in Germany, France, Italy and Spain will be available across Fourth Reich. The initiative remains open to other countries that can host such supercomputers. The Commission is contributing more than €70 million to PRACE, which strengthens Fourthreichian research and competitiveness, in line with the objectives of the Digital Agenda for Europe, a flagship initiative under the Europe 2020 strategy.Since the only proper purpose of government is the protection of individual rights, it is improper for the government to be involved in scientific research, whether by financing it or by overseeing and regulating it. A free society requires a total separation of science and state. All scientific and technological research should be privately conducted and privately financed. There should be no government research laboratories or government scientific agencies. This, of course, would be in radical contrast to the state of affairs today, in which basic research is predominantly funded by government and overseen by the government agencies administering the funds. Commission Vice-President for the Digital Agenda Neelie Kroes warmly welcomes the launch of the PRACE supercomputer infrastructure as scientific computing is a key driver for the development of modern science and technology and for addressing the major challenges of our time like climate change, energy saving and the ageing population.The Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe(PRACE) was officially launched in Barcelona today when the major contributors, Spain, France, Italy and Germany, signed the statutes of the PRACE organisation. PRACE, an international non-profit association, will bring together supercomputers of world-class capability across Europe to form a single infrastructure. This will give researchers access to a combined computing power equivalent to more than 100,000 of today's fastest PCs, and will speed up calculation time tremendously to up to 1000 trillion calculations per second. This means that research can be conducted incomparably faster, at massive scale and far more accurately. It also means we can now address problems that we could not solve before because they were too large and complex. This new way of doing science will be available to scientists from all over Fourth Reich on the basis of the scientific merit of the research to be carried out. In this way PRACE helps to expand scientific knowledge which in turn delivers social and economic benefits.For example, thanks to the capacity of the PRACE infrastructure, researchers will be able to investigate photosynthesis at sub-atomic level, which in turn can improve the way solar cells are built today. Scientists can also investigate 3D protein folding, which helps them understand how drugs interact with cells in the human body. Knowledge of the process of blood flow in cardiac disease could be increased, which will allow doctors to predict heart attacks and take timely actions to save lives. The fundamental evil of government grants is the fact that men are forced to pay for the support of ideas diametrically opposed to their own. This is a profound violation of an individual's integrity and conscience. The Constitution forbids a governmental establishment of religion, properly regarding it as a violation of individual rights. Since a man's beliefs are protected from the intrusion of force, the same principle should protect his reasoned convictions and forbid governmental establishments in the field of thought. The profiteers of government grants are usually among the loudest protesters against the pseudotyranny of money: science and the culture, they cry, must be liberated from the arbitrary private power of the rich. But there is this difference: the rich can neither buy an entire nation nor force one single individual. If a rich man chooses to support cultural activities, he can do so only on a very limited scale, and he bears the consequences of his actions. If he does not use his judgment, but merely indulges his irrational whims, he achieves the opposite of his intention: his projects and his proteges are ignored or despised in their professions, and no amount of money will buy him any influence over the culture. Like vanity publishing, his venture remains a private waste without any wider significance. The culture is protected from him by three invincible elements: choice, variety, competition. If he loses his money in foolish ventures, he hurts no one but himself. And, above all: the money he spends is his own; it is not extorted by force from unwilling victims. The growth of the welfare state is approaching the stage where virtually the only money available for scientific research will be government money. Taxation is destroying private resources, while government money is flooding and taking over the field of research. In these conditions, a scientist is morally justified in accepting government grants, so long as he opposes all forms of welfare statism. As in the case of scholarship recipients, a scientist does not have to add self-martyrdom to the injustices he suffers. Government research grants, for the most part, have no strings attached, i.e., no controls over the scientist's intellectual and professional freedom. When and if the government attempts to control the scientific or political views of the recipients of grants, that will be the time for men of integrity to quit. At present, they are still free to work, but more than any other professional group, they should be on guard against the gradual, insidious growth of pressures to conform and of tacit control-by-intimidation, which are implicit in such conditions.Venitis points out Climategate began in November 2009 with the Internet leak of thousands of emails and other documents hacked from the University of East Anglia's Climatic Research Unit(CRU). The emails proved that climate scientists manipulated data, withheld scientific information, and tried to prevent dissenting scientific papers from being published. A coalition of interests has promoted the greenhouse myth; scientists needed funds, the media a story, green business windfall profits, and kleptocrats a cause to present themselves as Moses.

Sarko seeks the love of the public, because his father abandoned him as a child. The swift replacement of Cecilia by Carla is a symptom of self-indulgence and insecurity. Sarko's narcissism, aggression, and childish behaviour stem from insecurity. Sarko's problem is his inability to distinguish his ego from his soul. Acute sarkozis means being obsessed by the phenomenon of Napoleon Sarko, le personnage mythologique, rather than Sarko's soul, that France does not know Sarko as well as it thinks. She flirts, throws glances and can unsettle even the most powerful statesman with her impish smile. At a gala evening she can be the impressive political diva who's not afraid to show cleavage. Venitis muses that Merkel's cleavage is Germany's weapon of mass distraction! During state ceremonies she's the queen of lions in a boring trouser suit striding energetically along military formations. Her countenance can be strict and rebuking. And she often deliberately neutralizes her femininity with those famous Angela Merkel button jackets.The odd couple recognized that strong measures have already come into force. But added that the recent instability of financial markets has raised serious concerns among member states of the European Union and all our citizens. There is no suggestion that interest rate swaps, the largest category of OTC financial derivatives, or foreign exchange swaps played any role in the financial meltdown. Yet the kleptocrats' proposals extend regulatory rules for futures to these bank-based products. Wantonly extending futures regulation to swaps applies the wrong tool in the wrong application. The result would be ineffective regulation damaging everything involved. It was neither tax dodgers nor speculators that caused Europe's existential crisis. Eurokleptocrats share all responsibility. They have been either unwilling or incapable of doing their jobs. When the financial institutions began to wobble in the autumn of 2008, with some collapsing and taking others with them, meltdown fear swept through the corridors of power. Venitis points out all Europeans are now criticizing Barroso for being very soft on Graecokleptocrats. Fourth Reich is holding on to Barroso for reasons of convenience, and because the search for an alternative could lead to a greater spread of the cancer of socialism.

Article 125.1 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union expressly forbids one member state bailing out another. The one trillion dollars stability package suffers from the same problem as all the other ones Fourth Reich has come up since the Greek crisis started rattling the markets: It tries to fix the symptoms, not the causes. Venitist Andreas Vosskuhle, president of the Karlsruhe-based Constitutional Court, has sent a letter to the chancellor Merkel, her ministers, parliament, the German president, all state governments, as well as the European Central Bank and Germany's central bank, the Bundesbank, requesting statements addressing a request for a temporary injunction against the bailout package. The request was made by Peter Gauweiler, a member of the German parliament with the conservative Christian Social Union, the sister party to Angela Merkel's Christian Democrats. Northern Europeans are taken to the cleaners! PIGS are not left to face the consequences of their profligacy, and the integrity of the euro is now not preserved. Venitis points out the future of Fourth Reich is being tested severely, together with much of the wealth of investors who have diversified into euro. This crisis will draw the Fourth Reich member States into a covert political struggle over the future of Fourth Reich. As this battle ebbs and flows, both the euro and the dollar will suffer great volatility. German constitutional lawyer Markus Kerber and his venitist supporters have also to submitted a constitutional complaint. Kerber and his co-plaintiffs want the court to determine whether the German law passed by the Bundestag approving the euro bailout complies with the country's own constitution. The legislation covers Germany's share of the bailout, roughly €148 billion in credit guarantees.Kerber's venitists challenge the rescue package's legality under both German rules as well as European law, and they would like to see the German Constitution Court also force the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg, the EU's top judicial body, to address whether the euro bailout is legal under European law. Venitist Philip Giraldi points out the Tea Party phenomenon has attracted a good deal of both good and bad attention in the media. Though it would perhaps be a stretch to describe it as a movement in that it has only limited organization and focus, it does tap into a genuine disconnect between the American people and the federal government in Washington. Most Tea Partiers claim to want smaller and cheaper government, less interference from Washington in their daily lives, and fewer programs that are intended to socially re-engineer the nation. So far, so good, but then comes the huge failure to comprehend that is as wide as the Grand Canyon. Most also want a strong, assertive national defense and are supporters of an aggressive foreign and security policy. Basil Venitis points out Uncle Sam and Fourth Reich(EU) now spend two trillion euros every year on the military, homeland security, and intelligence. There are 5,000 active terrorists in the world. This works out to spending 400 million euros per terrorist per year. Fear of terrorism drives growth in government and has led to involvement in multiple little wars and some bigger ones as well as subsequent exercises in nation building, all of which have been unconstitutional, and none of which have turned out well. Giraldi notes Tea Partiers have unfortunately been fed a line of hokum by politicians aided and abetted by the mainstream media. They fail to understand that it is precisely the interventionist defense and foreign policies that are driving the bad things they see in government. It is easy to forget that when Bill Clinton left office in 2000 there was a budget surplus. Ballooning defense and security spending since that time, all accomplished without raising taxes, has been the engine of growth for a $13 trillion national debt, a total that increases by $4 billion every day. The United States now accounts for 45% of the entire world total for military spending, euphemistically referred to as "defense." The Pentagon budget has gone from $432 billion in 2001 to a projected $720 billion in 2011, not including the costs of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Federal Government is twice as big as it was in 2001 and there has been the creation of major new bureaucracies at the Department of Homeland Security and the office of the Director of National Intelligence, neither of which can be regarded as a model of efficiency. Fueling government growth is the fearmongering that has been artfully encouraged by Democrat and Republican alike. Fear of terrorists, fear of unruly foreigners, fear of the unknown. Fear that unless something is done and more money is spent, the United States will be destroyed by a nameless, faceless threat. The Tea Partiers should instead understand that terrorists will only tear down the United States if we Americans help them to do so. Irrational fear of a small group of men hiding in a cave in Asia is what drives larger government, the infringement of civil liberties, and more taxes and regulation. The United States is on a road that can only lead to ruin. When the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991 in circumstances somewhat similar to the current American financial slide, a Russian politician joked that his country was somewhat like Upper Volta with nuclear armed ballistic missiles. At the time Upper Volta was the poorest country in the world and his point was that having the world's greatest missile force did not make up for having a wrecked economy. For the United States to continue its imperialist foreign policy, and there is every sign that it intends to do so, will eventually lead to economic and social collapse. Basil Venitis, twitter.com/Venitis, points out the largest kickbacks originate in the military industry. Military procurement is a corrupt business from top to bottom. The process is dominated by advocacy, with few checks and balances. Most people in power love this system of doing business and do not want it changed. War and preparation for war systematically corrupt all parties to the state-private transactions by which the government obtains the bulk of its military products. There is a standard 10% kickback to kleptocrats for military purchases. So how can the Tea Party turn things around? It can only do so by realizing that the first thing that must be done to fix the government in Washington is for the United States to end its wars overseas and dramatically scale back on its international commitments. There is no good reason for Washington to serve as the world's policeman and many good reasons why it should cease and desist from doing so. Reason number one should be that the US muscular foreign policy has actually been helping the terrorists achieve their objectives. In October 2004 Usama bin Laden said, referring to the economic damage the US economy has sustained in the wake of 9/11, "We are continuing in the same policy to make America bleed profusely to the point of bankruptcy." The numbers alone demonstrate that bin Laden has succeeded, far beyond his wildest imaginings. Iraq alone has cost $1 trillion and counting, 4400 Americans have died together with as many as 650,000 Iraqis. Afghanistan and Iraq continue to run a tab at $12 billion per month, with 1,086 more American dead in Afghanistan, and global war is expanding, not contracting, as the Obama Administration contemplates increased direct involvement in Yemen, Pakistan, and the Horn of Africa. Venitis notes that socialists, kleptocrats, and warmongers destroy Uncle Sam. The failure of America's wars has been the very freedoms they sought to preserve. Propaganda, lies, and myths led America into many wars. As venitists know, war has ever been the health of the state. It is clear that wars, hot and cold, have been responsible for the enormous taxes, deficits, and governmental spending that have created kleptocracy so beloved by the social engineers and economic planners of bureaucracy. If foreign wars have been America's chief failure, its great success has been the historic peace and freedoms, the individual liberties and responsibility, to which we must now return. Giraldi points out US policies also propagate terrorism in the form of blowback. Every diplomat or intelligence officer understands that laws of physics apply in foreign affairs as much as they do in the natural sciences. When you get involved in a foreign country's internal affairs and take action against individuals or groups the action will result in a Newtonian "equal and opposite reaction." Push on one spot and something happens, sometimes half a world away. When a man attempts to blow up an SUV in Times Square or ignite a bomb in his underwear on board an airliner it is because the US is bombing and killing in places like Yemen and Pakistan. Stop one and you stop the other. As Ron Paul puts it, they are over here because we are over there. It's that simple.And when you put an end to the American empire you can stop writing a blank check every year for the Pentagon, you can stop borrowing money to fund the wars, and you can take sensible steps to reduce the size of government, making it again answerable to the people. As the memory of the overhyped terrorist threat fades, you can even begin to restore some of those civil liberties that have been stripped away by the Patriot Acts, the Military Commissions Act, and the assertion of state secrets privilege. Is it unimaginable that the Tea Parties might turn in that direction? Perhaps not, though much depends on the extent to which the Republican Party and people like Sarah Palin are able to co-opt the movement. If they do, the revolt will fizzle out and turn into George W. Bush revisited. What is needed is a resurgence of traditional conservatives and libertarians to make the case that it is precisely the disastrous foreign policy that is driving virtually everything that ails the United States today. This might be referred to as shifting the narrative, turning it away from the sense that there is an amorphous threat out there that has to be dealt with and towards an understanding that America's genuine security depends on a sane and cautious foreign policy that eschews meddling in other peoples' affairs.

Fourth Reich's kleptocracy, addiction to big government, unaffordable entitlements, and cradle-to-grave welfare bring the cancer of socialism. Eurokleptocrats are losing control of a spiraling debt crisis across Fourth Reich(EU). The Greek contagion has now infected Spain, Portugal, Italy, Ireland, and Britain. Tensions are becoming visible between eurozone members with differing levels of debt. As part of its obstructive work on pseudopreventing a future financial crisis and deteriorating the financial system, the European Commission, aka Eldorado of Corruption, has today put forward stupid amendments to the Fourth Reich rules on Credit Rating Agencies(CRAs) and launched a public consultation on reforming corporate governance in financial institutions. Furthermore, in order to advance recklessly in completing unnecessary reforms to ensure a pseudosafe and pseudostable financial system in Fourth Reich, the Eldorado of Corruption has adopted a stupider Communication where it commits itself to table the remaining financial reform proposals in the next six to nine months from now. It was neither CRAs nor speculators that caused Fourth Reich's existential crisis. Eurokleptocrats share all responsibility. They have been either unwilling or incapable of doing their jobs. When the financial institutions began to wobble in the autumn of 2008, with some collapsing and taking others with them, meltdown fear swept through the corridors of power. Eurokleptocrats gathered at Brussels, where they applied Band-Aids to a severely wounded financial sector using trillions of euros of taxpayers' money and promised to stabilize the fragile European system for all eternity.Following discussion and hopefully strong support from all heads of State and government at the forthcoming European Council, the Eldorado of Corruption will present all these stupid proposals, together with its recent ideas on bank resolution funds, at the G-20 Summit in Toronto on 26-27 June 2010. On CRAs, the Eldorado of Corruption has two main objectives: ensuring efficient and centralised supervision at European level, and increased pseudotransparency on the entities requesting the ratings so that all agencies have access to the same information. These changes would not improve supervision, increase bureacracy in the CRA market and will not improve investor protection. On corporate governance, the Eldorado of Corruption has launched a public consultation on a number of issues including how to manage risk more effectively in financial institutions and how to empower shareholders. The deadline for responses is 1 September 2010. To complement this stupid package of proposals, the Eldorado of Corruption has also published two reports on how Member States have put into practice the Eldorado of Corruption's two stupid Recommendations of 2009 on remuneration policies in the financial services sector and for directors of listed companies. In both cases, progress has been made but a significant number of Member States have yet to implement the Recommendations fully. The one trillion dollars stability package suffers from the same problem as all the other ones Fourth Reich has come up since the Greek crisis started rattling the markets: It tries to fix the symptoms, not the causes. The causes are kleptocracy, overregulation, nepotism, VAT, and socialism. Fourth Reich originates from the Red House Report, a detailed account of a secret meeting at the Maison Rouge Hotel in Strasbourg, a couple of blocks from today's Eldorado of Prostitutes(EP), on August 10, 1944. There, Nazi officials instructed an elite group of German industrialists to plan for Germany's post-war recovery, prepare for the Nazis' return to power, and work for a strong Fourth Reich. The three-page, closely typed report, marked Secret, copied by British spies and sent to the US Secretary of State, detailed how the industrialists were to work with the Nazi Party to rebuild Germany's economy by sending money through Switzerland. They would set up a network of secret front companies abroad, wait until conditions were right, and then grab power with various hoodwinking treaties. Venitis muses the hateful Lisbon Treaty was meant to address the question famously attributed to Henry Kissinger Who do I call if I want to speak to Europe? by instituting a permanent Fourth Reich Fuehrer and foreign minister and by streamlining Brussels' mammoth bureaucracy, but it has created more confusion than clarity, with no fewer than five people now sporting the title of Fuehrer of Fourth Reich. In reality, the real power is Chancellor Merkel. The driving ethos behind Fourth Reich's foreign policy power-grab is the idea that the nations of Fourth Reich will be stronger collectively than they are separately, but sovereignty cannot be traded for influence. The Lisbon Treaty has created an institutional hydra with growing numbers of appendages responsible for different aspects of the foreign policy toolbox. Venitis points out that when Planetarch Obama asks to speak to the Fuehrer of Fourth Reich, he could be referencing one of six people: Herman van Rompuy, President of European Council; Durao Barroso, President of Eldorado of Corruption; Spanish Premier Zapatero, President of Consilium; Britain's Catherine Ashton, High Representative of Fourth Reich for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy; Jerzy Buzek, Madam of Eldorado of Prostitutes; German Chancellor Angela Merkel. What had started as a regional customs union founded by France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy and West Germany in 1957 has been transformed since then into a political and economic confederation of 27 member States with more than half billion citizens, the so-called United States of Europe, with its own flag and anthem, and since 2002, a currency, as well as a parliament and a huge government bureaucracy in Brussels that oversee a massive economic powerhouse that generates an estimated 28 percent share of the nominal gross world product. Charlemagne's efforts to resurrect the Roman Empire have been succeeded over a millennium later by the multipronged armadas of Eurokleptocrats steadily enslaving Europe. Venitis muses from Charlemagne to charlatan! Barroso is not Charlemagne, but charlatan! He cannot stop Graecokleptocracy. Barroso's smile has become thin and helpless. From time to time, he loses his habitual fixed smile, and a gray veil seems to descend over his gypsy face. He has frequent nightmares of Graecokleptocrats robbing the Fourth Reich Cohesion Fund, the retirement funds of poor Greek workers, and the Greek Treasury. These are tough times for Fourth Reich. And Barroso walking into the European Parliament(EP), aka Eldorado of Prostitutes, is a particularly difficult experience. Barroso has turned into a tragicomic figure, who cannot control Greece, the most corrupt country on Earth. Hardly anyone thinks highly of Barroso anymore, a fiasco who cannot rein in Graecokleptocrats, who get million-euro-kickbacks every single day and raid the nest eggs of all Greeks. Venitis points out all Europeans are now criticizing Barroso for being very soft on Graecokleptocrats. Fourth Reich is holding on to Barroso for reasons of convenience, and because the search for an alternative could lead to a greater spread of the cancer of socialism.

Plato and Aristotle asserted that different regimes produce different types of human beings, and regimes ought to be judged by the character of their citizens. In Europe, the growth of interventionist welfare state has damaged personal responsibility and integrity, fostered dependence, undermined families, rejected venitism, and promoted corruption. Especially in Greece, the most corrupt country on Earth, Graecokleptocracy is accepted as a normal thing, and most Greeks rely on graft, sinecures, cheating, incivility, cacodemony, cancer of socialism, jingoism, religionism, lies, and kickbacks. The character of modern Greece of the 300 Graecokleptocrats is the opposite of the character of ancient Greece of the 300 Spartans of Leonidas. The cost of government regulation is truly staggering; it is also a barometer of how free we are to pursue our own interests and to determine the course of our own lives. Basil Venitis estimates the cost of regulations to be one trillion dollars in USA and two trillion euros in Fourth Reich(EU) every year. Financial costs are not the only burden. Regulations also result in a tremendous loss of one of our most valuable and limited resources, time. Venitis estimates the private sector is spending over 10 billion hours a year just to meet government paperwork demands in USA, and 20 billion hours in Fourth Reich. It is no wonder that regulation discourages the creation of new businesses, new jobs, new products, and new services. Starve the beast by fighting taxes. The European Ombudsman, Nikiforos Diamandouros, calls on the European Commission(EC), aka Eldorado of Corruption, to ensure that Fourth Reich financial procedures take account of the right to good administration. He stresses the importance of reducing unnecessary administrative burdens for businesses, NGOs, organisations, and other contractors, as well of respecting their right to be treated fairly. Basil Venitis, twitter.com/Venitis, points out Eurokleptocracy, gigaregulation, Antitrust Armageddon, and gigataxation, especially VAT, are the real causes of the European financial meltdown. Democracy in Fourth Reich(EU) has deteriorated to kleptocracy, and Fourthreichians, aka Europeans, are mad as hell. Eurokleptocracy thrives on waste, fraud, abuse,and kickbacks. European Union(EU), aka Fourth Reich, an illegal unvoted confederation, condones the European Commission(EC), aka Eldorado of Corruption, the European Parliament(EP), aka Eldorado of Prostitutes, and Graecokleptocrats, the most corrupt politicians on Earth. Diamandouros also highlights his ongoing inquiry into the Commission's late payment problems. Announcing a follow-up to his public consultation on the matter, Diamandouros comments that according to the contributions he received, excessive bureaucracy, lack of coordination and inflexible rules contribute to continuing late payment problems. Diamandouros invites the Commission to profit from the upcoming reform of the Financial Regulation to tackle the issue systemically.On 28 May, the Eldorado of Corruption presented its proposal to reform the Union's Financial Regulation. The European Parliament and the Council will now examine the proposal. The Eldorado of Corruption announced that the new stupid Financial Regulation should be operational by 2012.The Ombudsman has dealt with a large number of complaints from businesses, NGOs and individuals, which are linked to the Regulation. Based on this experience, he recommended measures designed to contribute to a reduction in administrative burdens, better information about legal remedies for applicants and improved rights for sub-contractors. Furthermore, the Ombudsman proposes that the revised Financial Regulation include an explicit provision for ex gratia payments to remedy some cases of serious maladministration. He also suggests that the rules about waiving recovery of sums unduly paid should take account of the new right to good administration included in the Charter of Fundamental Rights. Based on a substantial number of complaints, the Ombudsman is currently investigating the Eldorado of Corruption's delays in payments for Fourth Reich projects or programmes. In January 2010, he launched a public consultation on that issue. According to the responses received, late payments may well constitute a systemic problem in the Eldorado of Corruption. The contributions submitted specifically stress a lack of coordination and excessive bureaucracy in the Eldorado of Corruption as reasons for delays. The Ombudsman has now asked the Eldorado of Corruption to comment on these contributions, to provide up-to-date information about late payments and to indicate measures taken to reduce these problems. The Achilles Heel of the national character is licensure. Basil Venitis asserts that all licenses should be abolished, including doctors, lawyers, and marriage. Licensure is an immoral exercise of force, an overly burdensome restraint on trade, a violation of the right to liberty, a mill of kickbacks. Government is a guarantor of liberty and is compatible with liberty only if its range is adequately restricted to the preservation of economic freedom. One of the many reasons why government licensure is incompatible with liberty, therefore, is because it is destructive of economic freedom. No other nation demands more licenses than Greece. Anyone has the natural right to pursue any means of providing for himself so long as in doing so he does not act fraudulently or otherwise violate the rights of others. The State mandated license turns the free market upside down. It prohibits everyone from producing in a given industry except for those who are granted the privilege of doing so by the state, especially those who provide huge kickbacks to kleptocrats. The state, in such a scenario, absorbs all individual rights unto itself and then divvies up some of those rights in any number of ways. Under a licensing system, such as we have today, if someone attempts to exercise his natural right to provide for himself without the state's nod of approval, which usually comes with kickbacks, that person goes to jail. Imprisonment for supporting oneself in an honest and non-fraudulent manner which does not infringe on the rights of others just doesn't seem right. Preemptive protection is offensive in nature, and therefore, is itself a violation of natural rights. In a free society, it is only after fraud or another violation of rights takes place that the state has the right to intervene on behalf of the consumer. By means of the licensure power, the State can permit the individual to eat or it can condemn him to starve, unless he gives kickbacks to kleptocrats. So long as the government has the power to issue licenses to live, we cannot claim to be free, and living without freedom is not much of a life. Fortunately, we still have a license to kill unsound and coercive government measures, so let us use that license to regain our right to live. Greece requires more licenses than any other country. For anything you do in Greece, you have to take permission from the government, a bureaucratic task that requires filling myriad papers. It's impossible to fill all these papers accurately. That's why Greeks either give up or give kickbacks to public employees to accept incomplete piles of papers. As the Latin expression puts it, Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? This is a phrase from the Roman poet Juvenal, which is literally translated as "Who will guard the guards themselves?" It is also sometimes rendered as "Who watches the watchmen?" In Greece, the watchers of watchmen are all corrupt!

Καθόλου καλά δεν την βλέπω την Λούκα (πολύ καιρό τα λέω, αλλά τώρα είναι ορατό). Τα έβαλε με τον προστατευόμενο των τραπεζών -γιαπάκο- υπουργό οικονομίας και με τον..."λεφτά υπάρχουν".Είναι άσχετοι στα οικονομικά, κοντεύουν να οδηγήσουν την χώρα στο...νεκροταφείο και η καθηγήτρια δεν μπορεί να σωπάσει

The 15-nation Security Council passed a resolution against Iran that was the product of five months of talks between the United States, Britain, France, Germany, China, and Russia. This resolution passed despite No votes from angry Turkey and Brazil, which argued that sanctions were the wrong approach to take with Tehran, and an abstention from Lebanon. Turkey is joining forces with Iran and Syria in an antisemitic Islamofascist axis of evil that seeks to destroy Israel and Islamize Europe as part of a long-term strategy of establishing the Global Caliphate. We live a nightmare of the emergence of Turkey as a Middle Eastern hegemon that is challenging and counterbalancing the Western power and Graecoroman culture. Terrorist Turkey needs an Iranian nuclear bomb to detonate its EMP. Electromagnetic Pulse(EMP) is triggered by a huge electromagnetic detonation at a high altitude over the earth. As a result of this detonation, an electromagnetic field radiates down to the earth, creating electrical currents. These fields cause widespread damage to electrical systems, the lifeblood of a modern society. In turn, the damaged electronic systems can cause a cascade of failures throughout the broader infrastructure, including banking systems, energy systems, transportation systems, food production and delivery systems, water systems, emergency services, and cyberspace. Effectively, the West would be thrown back to the pre-industrial age following a widespread EMP attack. Since coming to power, Erdogan has greatly improved his country's relations with Syria and picked a loud quarrel with Israeli President Shimon Peres, disrupting what had been a rather close alliance between the Jewish state and Turkey. He has also been developing a new friendship with the Iranian regime next door, just as the rigged re-election of President Ahmadinejad has disgusted all who had hoped for freedom in that Islamic Republic. Terrorist Turkey's support for a Gaza propaganda flotilla that Israel stormed has turned Erdogan into a folk hero, with his name invoked at rallies and babies named in his honor. This was a Gray Wolf action that was embraced and endorsed by Erdogan. It has clearly brought Erdogan prominence in the Arab world. It has raised his profile on the global stage, even though it has frustrated the West. At a rally in Beirut, thousands of Lebanese waved Turkish flags and nine coffins draped in the Turkish flag were displayed to honor the dead Gray Wolves.Gray Wolves is the terrorist arm of the Turkish government. They are named after Asena, a female wolf in mythology associated with Turkic ethnic origins. The organization carried out many thousands of murders, especially in Cyprus. Gray Wolves have been responsible for numerous political assassinations and disappearances of human rights activists, and have ties with the Turkish mafia. Gray Wolf Mehmet Ali Agca attempted to kill Pope John Paul II in 1981.Westen policies in the region and Washington's militaristic rhetoric have fanned the flames of Islamic fundamentalism. The 1979 Islamic Revolution, was primarily motivated by anti-Western and anti-imperialist sentiments that arose because of Western support for the shah. Saber-rattling over the nuclear issue worries and offends even pro-democratic Iranians. The mullahs use indiscreet comments from American officials as a pretext to smear the opposition as CIA stooges and to justify crackdowns. Patience and a low American profile is a better approach. It is appropriate to criticize the Iranian government's human-rights abuses, but even that needs to be done carefully. And such efforts should never be linked to calls for regime change. Most young Iranians prefer a modern, secular lifestyle and pursue one to the extent they can get away with, much to the clerical leadership's frustration. The religious hierarchy now seems to regard all of Iran's colleges as untrustworthy secular bastions.Basil Venitis asserts that Israel is a bastion of freedom and Graecoroman culture, an economic miracle, and a leader in science and technology. Israel is the only free country in a region dominated by Arab monarchies, theocracies and dictatorships. It is only the citizens of Israel, Arabs and Jews alike, who enjoy the right to express their views, to criticize their government, to form political parties, to publish private newspapers, to hold free elections. When Islamists deny the most basic freedoms to their own people, it is obscene for them to start claiming that Israel is violating the Palestinians' rights. All Muslims who are genuinely concerned with human rights should, as their very first action, seek to oust their own despotic rulers and adopt the type of free society that characterizes Israel.When Israel ended its occupation of Gaza, it did not impose a blockade. Indeed it left behind agricultural facilities in the hope that the newly liberated Gaza Strip would become a peaceful and productive area. Instead Hamas seized control over Gaza and engaged in acts of warfare against Israel. These acts of warfare featured 10,000 rockets directed at Israeli civilians. This was not only an act of warfare, it was a war crime. Israel responded to the rockets by declaring a blockade, the purpose of which was to assure that no rockets, or other material that could be used for making war against Israeli civilians, was permitted into Gaza. Israel allowed humanitarian aid through its checkpoints. Egypt as well participated in the blockade. There was never a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, merely a shortage of certain goods that would end if the rocket attacks ended. In the aftermath of the recent gun battle aboard a Turkish aid ship heading for Gaza, international leaders have been queuing up to attack Israel. From Ankara to Brussels, the condemnation of the only longstanding democracy in the Middle East has been swift and unequivocal. The United Nations, the European Union, and the Arab League have all engaged in a frenzy of denunciation, even before all the facts have been established. Israel continues to be the U.N.'s favorite whipping boy: In the past four years, 33 of the 40 resolutions passed by the U.N. Human Rights Council(HRC) have condemned Israel. If there is no doubt that the offending ships have made a firm determination to break the blockade, then the blockade may be enforced before the offending ships cross the line into domestic waters. Israel faces hypocrisy and a biased rush to judgment.Israel is on the front line of the war against terrorist Islam and fights every day for its existence amidst a sea of hostility. The Israelis are engaged in a long-term war against vicious enemies and are a vital component of a global war the free world is waging against Islam. The defeat of Islam is in the fundamental interest of the West. USA and Fourth Reich(EU) must oppose any attempt by the Universal Nudnik(UN) to undermine Israel's sovereignty and its right to defend itself.

Σύμφωνα με τα διαθέσιμα στοιχεία το 2008, 560,000 τουρίστες από το Ισραήλ ταξίδεψαν για διακοπές στην Τουρκία, ενώ το 2009 ο όγκος του τουρισμού αυτού έφτασε τις 311,000 ταξιδιώτες. Μετά όμως από τα τελευταία γεγονότα το Ισραήλ για λόγους ασφαλείας έχει αφαιρέσει την Τουρκία από τον τουριστικό του χάρτη. Η εξέλιξη αυτή διανοίγει μια σημαντική ευκαιρία για την ενίσχυση του τουριστικού ρεύματος προς την Κύπρο. Ως εκ τούτου το ΕΥΡΩΠΑΪΚΟ ΚΟΜΜΑ θεωρεί ότι επιβάλλεται άμεσα τώρα η κυβέρνηση να προσεγγίσει τους τουριστικούς οργανισμούς της γειτονικής χώρας και να υποδείξει τα πλεονεκτήματα του τόπου μας ως τουριστικού προορισμού για τους, προκειμένου η Κύπρος να καταστεί μια από τις πρώτες επιλογές διακοπών για τους Ισραηλινούς πολίτες που ακύρωσαν τις διακοπές τους στην Τουρκία. Δεν έχει την πολυτέλεια να επιλέγει φίλους και εχθρούς. Οι εχθροί, επιβάλλονται. Οι φίλοι, επιλέγονται, με βάση τα κοινά συμφέροντα, τη σύγκλιση σκοπών και την ταύτιση επιδιώξεων. Να μιλήσουμε ωμά και κυνικά: Οι εχθροί του εχθρού μας, Τούρκου κατακτητή της Κύπρου, είναι ή μπορεί να γίνουν φίλοι και σύμμαχοί μας. Αυτό τον καιρό σοβεί σοβαρότατη και βαθύτατη κρίση στις σχέσεις Τουρκίας - Ισραήλ. Αυτή η κρίση πυροδοτήθηκε μεθοδικά από την Τουρκία εδώ και μια 8ετία, με αποκορύφωμα τα τραγικά γεγονότα της Γάζας και το θάνατο ακτιβιστών. Η Κύπρος, ανέκαθεν, διατηρεί φιλικές σχέσεις με τον αραβικό κόσμο και πάντα υποστηρίζει την υπόθεση των Παλαιστινίων, χωρίς ανταπόδοση. Άνευ βλάβης αυτών των σχέσεων, που δεν τηρούνται από πλευράς ενίων αραβικών χωρών στο πλαίσιο της αμοιβαιότητας, η Λευκωσία καλείται να αναπτύξει και να ενισχύσει, σε όλους ανεξαίρετα τους τομείς, τις σχέσεις της με το Ισραήλ. Ας μη λειτουργήσουν πάλι οι γνωστές συναισθηματικές εκρήξεις, που δεν προσφέρουν τίποτε στην υπεράσπιση των κρατικών μας συμφερόντων. Το Ισραήλ είναι μία μεγάλη περιφερειακή δύναμη, με ισχυρές συνδέσεις με τις ΗΠΑ και άλλες δυνάμεις. Το εβραϊκό λόμπι είναι πανίσχυρο. Το Ισραήλ θεωρεί την Ελλάδα και την Κύπρο ως τους φυσικούς και πιο κοντινούς του συμμάχους, απέναντι σε έναν ωκεανό Αράβων και μουσουλμάνων, οι περισσότεροι από τους οποίους θέλουν συνειδητά την καταστροφή του. Πριν από την κρίση των Ιμίων (1996), το Ισραήλ πρότεινε στην Ελλάδα τη σύναψη μιας Συμφωνίας Αμυντικής Συνεργασίας, που θα διευκόλυνε την ισραηλινή αεροπορία και θα διεύρυνε τη συνεργασία σε όλους τους τομείς άμυνας και ασφάλειας. Εξαιτίας των σχέσεων της Ελλάδας με τους Άραβες, η Αθήνα δεν ανταποκρίθηκε στο ισραηλινό αίτημα. Και οι Ισραηλινοί, φυσιολογικά, απευθύνθηκαν στην Τουρκία. Η κρίση των Ιμίων, η γκριζοποίηση του Αιγαίου, η μη σύναψη Συμφωνίας με το Ισραήλ, η διπλωματία των σεισμών και η από τότε σταδιακή αποδυνάμωση και εξουδετέρωση του Δόγματος του Ενιαίου Αμυντικού Χώρου συνήργησαν ώστε η Ελλάδα να εκδιωχθεί από την Τουρκία, από την από χιλιετηρίδων πολιτισμική, ιστορική και γεωπολιτική κοιτίδα της, την Αν. Μεσόγειο. Η Τουρκία, με τις μεθοδεύσεις της στην περιοχή της ευρύτερης Μέσης Ανατολής, επιδιώκει ανατροπή και ανακατανομή του συσχετισμού ισχύος. Ισχυρό εμπόδιο είναι το Ισραήλ και, βεβαίως, οι ΗΠΑ, η Ρωσία, η ΕΕ και ευρωπαϊκές δυνάμεις. Οι συγκυρίες και οι εξελίξεις, που θα σηματοδοτήσουν την περιοχή στο μέλλον, επιβάλλουν όπως τώρα, όχι αργότερα, η Λευκωσία ζητήσει τη σύναψη, σε πρώτο στάδιο, ενός Συμφώνου Αμυντικής Συνεργασίας με το Ισραήλ, που από καιρό επιζητεί στενότερη συνεργασία με την Κύπρο. Θεωρούμε ότι ο πρόεδρος Χριστόφιας έχει μία -μοναδική- ευκαιρία να ενισχύσει και να θωρακίσει την Κύπρο. ΔΙΚΤΥΟ ΣΥΜΠΡΑΞΗΣ ΜΚΟ 3ης Σεπτεμβρίου 69 Αθήνα 10433Τηλ.2108226562Προς: Όλες τις συλλογικές οργανώσεις (συλλόγους, ΜΚΟ, ιδρύματα)Θέμα: Το πρόβλημα της βιωσιμότητας των συλλογικών οργανώσεων ενόψει της κρίσης και η αναγκαιότητα κοινής δράσης.Στην περίοδο κρίσης που διανύουμε όλοι γνωρίζουν ότι οι συλλογικές και μη κυβερνητικές οργανώσεις αντιμετωπίζουν μεγάλες δυσκολίες και πρόβλημα βιωσιμότητας. Για το πολιτικό σύστημα φαίνεται πως οι οργανώσεις μας είναι το πιο εύκολο θύμα με το αιτιολογικό ότι «σε λίγο δεν θα μπορούν να πληρωθούν οι συντάξεις, με τους συλλόγους θα ασχοληθούμε». Αυτή η έκφραση δείχνει σε πόσο χαμηλή εκτίμηση βρίσκεται ο ρόλος των οργανώσεων της κοινωνίας των πολιτών στην Ελλάδα , οι θεσμοί αλληλεγγύης και οι περιβαλλοντικές οργανώσεις τώρα που το πελατειακό πολιτικό σύστημα καταρρέει. Γιατί οι σύλλογοι και οι ΜΚΟ χρησιμοποιήθηκαν κατά κόρον από το πολιτικό πελατειακό σύστημα χωρίς θεσμούς διαφάνειας και θεσμούς συστηματικής λειτουργίας της κοινωνικής οικονομίας στην Ελλάδα. Αυτό σημαίνει ότι ενώ υπάρχουν θεσμοθετημένοι πόροι και χρηματοδοτικά εργαλεία από την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση έτσι ώστε να υποστηρίζονται οι φορείς της κοινωνικής οικονομίας, το ελληνικό πολιτικό σύστημα έχει διαστρέψει σε τέτοιο βαθμό τις κατευθύνσεις και τις οδηγίες της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης ώστε η χρηματοδότηση αυτή να εξαρτάται από πολιτικά πρόσωπα και συμφέροντα της κρατικής γραφειοκρατίας.Είναι σύνηθες το φαινόμενο ότι οι πόροι του Ευρωπαϊκού κοινωνικού Ταμείου και του Περιφερειακού Ταμείου Ανάπτυξης που έχουν προορισμό τις μη κυβερνητικές οργανώσεις καταλήγουν σε κάλυψη αναγκών του διογκωμένου δημόσιου τομέα. Χαρακτηριστική είναι η περίπτωση των προγραμμάτων STAGE που γνωρίζουμε όλοι όπως και η περίπτωση προγραμμάτων για δια βίου μάθηση όπου τους πόρους απορροφούσαν τα δημόσια εκπαιδευτικά ιδρύματα. Περιπτώσεις δηλαδή που προκαλούν νομικές παραβιάσεις του ελληνικού κράτους απέναντι των οργανώσεων της κοινωνίας των πολιτών και στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση και επομένως εγείρουν νομικές αξιώσεις από τις ΜΚΟ. Παράλληλα είναι γνωστό πόσα προβλήματα αντιμετωπίζουν οι φορείς μας από την έλλειψη Μητρώων ΜΚΟ στα αρμόδια Υπουργεία με αποτέλεσμα πολλές από αυτές να αποκλείονται, από υπαιτιότητα του κράτους, στην υποβολή προγραμμάτων.Δεν είναι λοιπόν, αληθινή η δικαιολογία ότι έχουν σταματήσει τα προγράμματα χρηματοδότησης των ΜΚΟ λόγω της οικονομικής κρίσης. Αντιθέτως είναι μια πρόφαση για να συνεχιστεί η υφαρπαγή των στοχευμένων πόρων της ΕΕ προς της οργανώσεις της κοινωνίας των πολιτών. Είναι ένα πρόσχημα γιατί οι πόροι του4ου κοινοτικού πλαισίου στήριξης δεν έχουν μειωθεί και δεν μπορούν να μεταφερθούν αλλού χωρίς τις σκόπιμες παραλείψεις και υφαρπαγή των πόρων για τις ανάγκες τις κρατικής γραφειοκρατίας. Οι οργανώσεις της κοινωνίας των πολιτών έχουν κάθε έννομο δικαίωμα και συνέπεια της κοινωνικής τους αποστολής ως θεσμοί αλληλεγγύης να διεκδικήσουν αυτούς τους πόρους και να καταγγείλουν αν χρειαστεί παραβιάσεις της κοινοτικής νομοθεσίας στο Ευρωπαϊκό Δικαστήριο.Για το λόγο αυτό καλούμε όλες τις οργανώσεις της κοινωνίας των πολιτών να επαγρυπνούν μέσα σε αυτή τη σκοτεινή περίοδο και να διεκδικήσουν εδώ και τώρα αυτά που τους ανήκουν και αυτά που τους αναλογούν με διαφάνεια και μέσα από θεσμικές διαδικασίες και όχι μέσω του πελατειακού πολιτικού συστήματος που εν πολλοίς γινόταν μέχρι τώρα. Είναι ευθύνη και των ίδιων των ΜΚΟ και συλλογικών οργανώσεων να διεκδικήσουν τη διαφάνεια και την σωστή θεσμική διαδικασία. Είναιο μόνος δρόμος για την εξασφάλιση της βιωσιμότητας τους και για την κοινωνική τους αποστολή. Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende resigned Wednesday taking political responsibility for the defeat. His Christian Democrats came in fourth with a historic low of just 21 seats, down from an earlier 41. Balkenende's coalition with the Labor party collapsed in February after the Labor members of the government refused to support a request to extend the Netherlands' troop presence in Afghanistan. Venitist VVD party and antivenitist center-left Labor have finished in a dead heat with 31 of 150 parliamentary seats each. The far-venitist Freedom Party, led by anti-Islam politician Geert Wilders, had its best showing ever and came in third with 23 seats. Wilders is calling the outcome magnificent.Wilders considers Koran the Islamic Mein Kampf that incites Muslims to resort to violence. Koran calls for hatred, misogyny, polygyny, violence, submission, murder, and terrorism. Koran calls for Muslims to kill infidels, to terrorize infidels, and to fulfil their duty to wage war, the violent jihad. Gray Wolf Mehmet Ali Agca attempted to kill Pope John Paul II in 1981.Venitis points out kleptocrats promote phobias and bogeys in order to take the attention of voters away from taxation and kleptocracy, and to have a fantastic opportunity to present themselves as Moses who leads the people to salvation! Rabblerousers make a living out of convincing people that the sky is falling. The essence of statesmanship in a venitist society is just the opposite, helping people understand the facts and proposing real solutions to real problems. You have to know when to stop doing something. Hitler did not know. Mousolini did not know. Eurokleptocrats do not know when to stop looting the producers and fooling all citizens. They do not understand that the parasites and the host die together. The political parties split voters into two groups, those who are for them and those who are against. There is also a very large group of undecided voters. You can try and win over these guys, but it's difficult to win citizens who are pissed off with kleptocrats. Consultants and opinion pollsters have taken all the spontaneity out of politics. In a deliberately vicious and ruthless campaign a lot of voters turn away in disgust. The abstention might damage bully's opponent more than the bully. The bully could make the race so obnoxious that he could merely discourage people from voting. Bully's deliberately dirty campaign might turn off voters who may vote against him. The scales will tip toward the party that manages to motivate its supporters to come out and vote for it. The ability of a politician to rally his people decides the election outcome, not his or her ability to woo the supporters of the competition. It works the other way round too. If you manage to keep more of your opponent's voters at home than your own, you take the lead. You could describe this as success through a demobilization of voters. It is not a particularly appetizing procedure but, if it works, it can secure an election win. Public support for democracy is a sensitive resource. If you convince people that they can follow an election on TV without ever having to take part, it will be difficult to win them back. Kleptocrats claim the people are well represented in parliament. But this is an illusion, because those who never vote are not included. The real number of citizens who feel represented in government grows smaller all the time, and this is the main byproduct of kleptocracy.

To enter into friendship and align with the powerful, so that in the hour of need to be protected and the day after his victory to be next to him round the table. There can be no sentiments in politics and no room for justice, the same way this is expressed in public conscience. Let us talk realistically: The objective of a trustworthy policy is the defence of the interests of the state, the safeguard of its survival and the security of its citizens. Therefore, the utmost duty of a responsible and elected leadership is to defend with every means possible the aforementioned. The Republic of Cyprus is powerless. It does not have the luxury to choose friends and enemies. The enemies, they impose on you. The friends, are chosen, based on mutual interests, how near each one’s objectives are to the other’s, and mutual aims. Let us talk straight and cunically: Our enemy’s enemies, those of the Turkish invaders of Cyprus , are or can be our friends and allies. At this moment in time there is a very serious and deep crisis between the relations of Turkey and Israel . This crisis was fuelled methodically by Turkey initially starting some 8 years ago, reaching its climax with the tragic Gaza events and the death of activists. For years, Cyprus retains friendly relations with the Arab world and always supports the Palestinian cause, without getting anything in return. Without damaging these relations, which are not reciprocated from the part of the Arab countries as one would expect in a framework of mutuality, Nicosia must develop and reinforce, in all aspects and without exceptions, its relations with Israel . And let us not have again all those sentimental explosions, which do not serve a bit our state interests. Israel is a great regional power, with strong ties with the United States of America and other powers. The Jewish Lobby is incredibly strong. In the face of an ocean of Arabs and Muslims, most of whom seek consciously its destruction, Israel regards Greece and Cyprus as its natural and nearest allies. Before the Imia crisis (in 1996), Israel proposed to Greece a Defence Co-operation Agreement, which would have facilitated the Israeli Air Force and widened the cooperation in all aspects of defence and security. Because of Greece ’s relations with the Arabs, Athens did not respond to Israel ’s proposal. And naturally, Israel turned to Turkey . The Imia crisis, the turning of the Aegean into grey zones, the failure to come into an agreement with Israel, the earthquake diplomacy and the since then gradual undermining and neutralising of the Dogma of Mutual Defence between Greece and Cyprus all these together, helped Turkey to kick Greece out of the Eastern Mediterranean, a position Greece held in this area for thousands of years vis-à-vis culture, history and geopolitics. Turkey , with her methodical activities in the area around the greater Middle East , is aiming at turning the tables over and changing the hold of power. Powerful obstacle against this Turkish aim is Israel and of course, the United States of America , Russia and the European powers. The developments that will develop in the area in the future, dictate that from now, not later, Nicosia should ask Israel, as a first step, for a Co-operation Defence Agreement, as Israel since long ago is seeking for a closer cooperation with Cyprus. We believe president Christofias has one – and unique- opportunity to strengthen and fortify Cyprus . He must not loose this chance, driven or moved by sentimentalities or ideological dependencies. Israel allowed humanitarian aid through its checkpoints. Egypt as well participated in the blockade. There was never a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, merely a shortage of certain goods that would end if the rocket attacks ended. If there is no doubt that the offending ships have made a firm determination to break the blockade, then the blockade may be enforced before the offending ships cross the line into domestic waters.Venitis asserts that Israel is a bastion of freedom and Graecoroman culture, an economic miracle, and a leader in science and technology. Israel is the only free country in a region dominated by Arab monarchies, theocracies and dictatorships. It is only the citizens of Israel, Arabs and Jews alike, who enjoy the right to express their views, to criticize their government, to form political parties, to publish private newspapers, to hold free elections. When Islamists deny the most basic freedoms to their own people, it is obscene for them to start claiming that Israel is violating the Palestinians' rights. All Muslims who are genuinely concerned with human rights should, as their very first action, seek to oust their own despotic rulers and adopt the type of free society that characterizes Israel.Land-for-peace is a repugnant formula for Israel's self-immolation.
